The Communications Apprentice will work alongside the Chief Executive to strengthen existing and build new ways for us to engage and communicate with our partners, supporters and local community. This will include producing quality written and visual content for the trust’s website and digital channels, such as news items, social media posts, case studies and features for the website that help tell the story of Purfleet Trust’s work and impact with vulnerable people in West Norfolk. The Communications Apprentice will demonstrate a commitment to supporting the values of the Trust and promoting their work with single homeless or vulnerably housed people with complex needs and multiple disadvantages. The post holder will be expected to learn the key skills required to ensure that the Purfleet digital channels are kept up to date and relevant in accordance with our policies and procedures. You should be organised and self-motivated with good communication skills. This role will require working evenings and weekends occasionally to attend fundraising events so flexibility is essential. Duties will include: 1 Curating content for the Trust’s social media platforms 2 Producing written news items for the Trust’s website 3 Ensuring the website is kept up to date and reflects any changes in projects and teams 4 Produce written case studies to showcase the human impact of our work 5 To produce a fortnightly newsletter to be sent to supporters and partners 6 To direct all enquiries received on social media channels to the appropriate members of staff 7 Action requests for the Trust to attend events – this will involve evening and weekend working 8 Organise fundraising events with the support of events committee 9 Complete all apprenticeship work and CPD as required 10 Maintain a contact list of partners, suppliers and volunteers who can support with events 11 Be main point of contact for all incoming enquiries to the Trust about fundraising, events and donations 12 Ensure the Trust communicates its activities in a way that is engaging and effective for our audience 13 Engage and work with a range of people to keep growing our professional networks 14 Report on online activity to measure the success of activities and provide recommendations and insights based on these reports
