Child Care Worker duties and responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a Child Care Worker depend on the needs of the child they care for. Some of the possible duties and responsibilities of a Child Care Worker can include: -Assisting with washing and dressing the child -Preparing their food and help them eat -Doing household tasks, such as shopping and laundry -Getting to know the children, their needs and interests -Monitoring their health and weight and recording any concerns -Making sure they take prescribed medications -Supporting their mental and physical wellbeing through different activities -Working with other social care and health care professionals We will ensure your child receives the care, warmth and supervision they need to feel safe and secure. Along with lots of opportunities and encouragement in order for them to grow and develop. Fun and laughter being the order of the day whilst playing and exploring. By providing a happy, safe and secure environment, each child is able to develop in a relaxed yet purposeful way, boosting their confidence and self-esteem. When it comes to rest and/or the need for sleep, we provide cosy areas and sleep areas to recharge batteries for the rest of the day. All our meals are freshly prepared on site each day by our dedicated cooks. The ingredients used within our menus are carefully planned so that your child will gain all the nutrients they need for a busy day at nursery. Information about nursery life is communicated through Tapestry our online journal system, newsletters, notice boards and meetings. Child progress reports are provided termly, however, informal, daily discussions are the norm.
